***ICP2020 becomes ICP2021***
After careful consideration together with the international Board of Groupe Polyphénols, we have come to the conclusion that we will have to reschedule the conference, as we need to put everybody’s safety and health first, and do our best to prevent the pandemic from spreading. The new conference dates are 12-15 July 2021. We sincerely hope to see you in Turku in 2021 instead!
Already submitted abstracts are valid until 2021
The participants have been informed that they can retain their submitted abstract, modify it if needed, or they can withdraw it. Please sign in to your Oxford Abstracts account to make any changes. We will reopen the system in December 2020 to allow for further changes in the abstracts and the submission of new abstracts as well.
Please pay attention to the conference participation cancellation rules (below). We also encourage participants to check your travel insurance coverage and book travel with cancellation possibility.
Registration will be reopened in December 2020
You can register your participation to the conference by filling the online registration form. For your convenience, the registration form also includes booking of the hotels together with some evening activities. The list of hotels can be found also at the Accommodation page, and evening activities at the Social program and Discover Turku pages.
Affordable registration fees with early bird registration discount of 150 €
The goal of ICP2020TURKU is to have affordable fees to enable the participation of all polyphenol scientists in the conference. We make a special effort in having an affordable fee for PhD students and by offering several housing options for them as well. Please note that you can save 150 € by registering before 1 May 2020. For PhD students the fee stays low even after 1 May 2020.
Join GP and save additional 150 € in registration fees
Others than PhD students can save 150 € in registration fees by joining the Groupe Polyphénols (2-year membership, 50 €) before paying the registration fee. Click here to pay the membership fee and become part of the Groupe Polyphénols society. Note that students who want to apply for the GP Travel Grant, need to be members of Groupe Polyphénols or work in a laboratory holding institutional membership.
Two options for fees, with or without the Gala Dinner
The registration fee includes attendance in the scientific programme, conference materials (the Polyphenols Communications book and application), coffee and lunch on the conference days as marked in the programme, as well as Welcome Reception on Monday, 13 July.The Gala Dinner on Wednesday, 15 July, is included in the full fees only.
The registration fees are invoiced by Aboa Congress and Event Services (VAT FI28050288) on behalf of the local organiser University of Turku (VAT FI0245896-3 ) whose scientific conferences are exempted from VAT.
Please note: you can also book accommodation at the conference hotels through the registration form! Kindly mark your hotel reservation on the conference registration form. Your reservation will be confirmed together with your participation. For more information of the hotels, please visit the page accommodation.
Methods of payment
1) Credit card payment, no transaction fee
2) Online bank payment (Finnish/Scandinavian banks) , no transaction fee
3) PDF invoice (payment with bank transfer). A transaction fee of 10 EUR will be added.
4) E-invoice (Verkkolasku, Finnish organisations and companies only). A transaction fee of 10 EUR will be added.
If you choose an invoice, please make sure to give a correct invoicing address. An extra invoicing charge of 10 EUR will be added in case a new invoice is processed.
All payments must be made in euros (EUR).

Please note that the meeting participants are not covered by any insurance (travel, medical, accident or liability) taken by the Meeting Organisers. The Meeting Organisers cannot accept liability for any loss or damage suffered by any participant or accompanying person or another person during travel to and from the meeting or during the meeting. Participants are advised to consider purchasing their own travel insurance and to extend their personal policy to cover personal possessions.
Cancellation of registration must be made in writing (email) to email@example.com before 1 June 2020. No fees will be refunded after this date. A processing fee of EUR 50 will be deducted from all refunds.
In the event that the meeting is cancelled by the Meeting Organisers, or cannot take place for any reason outside the control of the Meeting Organisers, the registration fee shall be refunded in full. The liability of the Meeting Organiser shall be limited to that refund.
